By accessing or using postal.is ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
postal.is provides a virtual mailbox and co-working management platform for Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) operators. Our Service includes:
- Customer portal for mail viewing and management
- USPS Form 1583 compliance and document storage
- Mail scanning and forwarding workflows
- Operator dashboard for mailbox management
- Audit logging and activity tracking
3. Operator Responsibilities
As a CMRA operator using postal.is, you agree to:
- Comply with all USPS CMRA regulations and requirements
- Maintain proper USPS Form 1583 documentation for all customers
- Only collect and store information required for CMRA operations
- Protect customer data in accordance with applicable laws
- Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
4. Customer Data
Customer data uploaded to postal.is remains the property of the CMRA operator and their customers. We provide storage and processing services but do not claim ownership of customer data.
5. Payment and Billing
postal.is charges flat monthly or annual subscription fees based on your plan:
- Starter: $99/month or $990/year (100 mailboxes)
- Professional: $299/month or $2,990/year (500 mailboxes)
- Business: $599/month or $5,990/year (1,500 mailboxes)
- Enterprise: Custom pricing (5,000+ mailboxes)
All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel at any time, and service will continue through the end of your current billing period.
6. Security and Data Protection
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit
- Secure document storage with MinIO
- Full audit trails for all mail handling activities
- Role-based access control
- Regular security assessments
7. Limitation of Liability
postal.is shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, you will have a reasonable period to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
